Quick Overview

The CDC-65 discharge booster is an accessory to the Christie CASP line of battery charger/analyzers. Its purpose is to speed the processing of larger battery packs by increasing the discharge capability of the CASP system. The CASP/2000/2500 can discharge to a maximum of 65 Watts while the CASP/1200 can discharge to 35 Watts. Each CDC-65 added to the system (1 or 2 may be used) increases the discharge rate by either 2, 4, or 6 Amps as selected for any battery that CASP can process.

CDC-65

  • A mix of batteries may be processed by CASP with the CDC-65 attached even if some do not require the discharge booster.
  • CASP will automatically switch the CDC-65 booster in or out of the circuit as required to reach the programmed discharge current
  • Each current level, either 2, 4, or 6 Amps, is selected by plugging a specific cable into one of CASPs output connectors
  • Each CDC-65 is supplied with 3 cables clearly marked for current level and equipped with appropriate connectors
  • CASP units will recognize the presence of the CDC-65 and use the extra discharge capacity when needed
  • By using CDC-65 with CASP, cycle times of analyze and discharge processes of larger batteries can be reduced significantly
